H&M manufactures personal protective equipment for hospitals and healthcare providers
The H&M Group announced that they will manufacture and provide hospitals and healthcare workers with personal protective equipment after the global outbreak of COVID-19.
The coronavirus pandemic prompted H&M to support countries, communities, and hardworking people by opening its supply chain to produce these products. The brand quickly uses its facilities for the production of these materials and pays particular attention to its procurement operations and logistics capabilities in order to expedite the delivery of personal protective equipment.
Anna Gedda, head of the sustainability department of the H&M Group, said: “Coronavirus has a strong influence on each of us, and the H&M Group, like many other organizations, is trying its best to help in this unusual situation. We see that this is the first step in our efforts to provide support in any way possible. We are all in this together, and we must approach this as collectively as possible. ”
